When people think of a model search, they usually think of a Claudia Schiffer or Gisele Bündchen, who are to be found by searching for models. The perfect faces with perfect bodies and proportions want to be discovered so that they fit ideally on a front-page cover and into tailor-made clothing.

However, the model search sector is broadly structured and covers many needs. It isn't only the ideal measurements that are in demand, but also plus-size and child models. Plus-size includes both overweight and genuinely larger sizes. The measurements can vary widely. The demand exists, though, since weight is a major issue mainly in Western society, and so a large target group exists.

Internationally, there are web portals that offer a model search at different levels. As mentioned at the start, that's where you find the supermodels, whose fees are higher. An alternative can be entry-level models or part-time ones. With the latter, you need to check when they are actually available for a photo shoot or other recordings.
