Looking for Prince Charming

It's increasingly common to see: an older man accompanied by a much younger woman (or the other way around). It happens in celebrity circles too, such as Heidi Klum and her "toy boy" Vito Schnabel. Why do people do this? What is a sugar daddy and a sugar baby? And are these people looking for Prince Charming on a white horse? The following text aims to clear all of that up.

In general:

The term "sugar daddy" refers to a male, often wealthy person (a prince) who enters a longer-lasting relationship with a much younger woman. Usually this relationship is also very pronounced on a sexual level, and in return the partners receive money or other material things. Women who enter this kind of arrangement are also called "sugar babies". It's also worth mentioning that there are dedicated websites on the internet that make these acquaintances possible.

Why Do Women and Men Enter Such a Special Arrangement?

From a moral point of view, this question is certainly very hard to answer. After all, in the vast majority of cases, at least in this kind of relationship, no real love comes into play. Instead, the women are mostly after the men's money, while the princes, despite their advancing age, want a young woman at their side. Of course, this can only be a relationship of limited duration, since many women use the money to start a family of their own later, which might have been out of reach for them without the arrangement.

What Does "Looking for Prince Charming on a White Horse" Mean?

As already mentioned several times above, the sugar daddy is the prince on the white horse, while the poor girl wants to be taken by the prince to his castle. That's how it is in reality, too. After all, the relationship is based on give and take: the man wants to have fun, and the woman wants the money. Still, this kind of relationship should not be confused with prostitution, since the latter doesn't involve a steady relationship. But the basic principle is the same, and the princess is mostly interested in nothing more than the man's money.
